I know what that feels like, and what has worked for me - for things that I’m wanting to change- is to start small, build on it, and then gradually add a little more each week.
For example, I wanted to get back into running. And one of my goals this quarter was to run 30 minutes a day, 3 times per week. Back in October I didn’t start my runs for 30 minutes. I started at 10 minutes. On some days I was tempted to go past this 10 minute mark, but I resisted. I did the 10 minute runs for the first week, and each week after I added 1 minute. This helped on those days when I didn’t “feel” like doing the work, and knowing that I only had to commit to 10, 11, 12 (ect.) minutes during the early stages of this habit formation process made it easier for me to stay consistent.
